Who is the program for?

The Accessible and Inclusive Host program is for tourism operators large or small, with or without experience in the accessible and inclusive market.

About

The program is designed to take you on a three-module journey to build your confidence in working with travellers with access needs. The program will help you understand the needs of travellers with different functional and cognitive impairments, including senior travellers. You will learn what influences their travel decisions and how best to attract and retain members of this large and growing travel segment.

Program overview

Accessible Host is available via on-demand webinars

The modules were delivered live in December 2022.  The webinars are now available on-demand to watch (and rewatch) at a time that is convenient to you. 

Module 1 Accessible & Inclusive Host – Culture Ready (60mins)

  • Learners will be provided an overview of the market and its potential, an introduction to key aspects of accessible and inclusive culture, and customer service expectations critical for business success


Module 2 Accessible & Inclusive Host – Product Ready (60mins)

  • Learners will look to understand the needs of target customers, customising the experience for accessible travellers and creating appropriate marketing communications and collateral.


Module 3 Accessible & Inclusive Host – Service Ready (60mins)

  • Learners will work on understanding minimum expectations of Accessible and Inclusive travellers and assess areas of service delivery which may require adjustment.

    Yes, the lives have now concluded, but webinars are available OnDemand to watch at a time convenient to you.

  • How do I graduate and receive my digital badge?

    If you attend the live webinar sessions, you will be issued the digital badge via email. If you miss the lives you will need to catch up via recordings and email: training@atec.net.au to request your badge.
